Throughout most of the Gypsy Camp sequences in From Russia with Love, the James Bond watch appears to have a gold-colored case, light dial, and dark strap. (Putting aside for a moment any focus on continuity issues.)

Based on this and a number of the other very-first Sean Connery 007 films, there's no doubt that EON Productions saw the James Bond character as having multiple watches for each outing. Clearly this was part of the original concept.

This makes any simple listing of James Bond watches by film name reference, of course, obsolete. On the other hand, it opens an exciting new door to both collectors and researchers interested in pieces beyond sports models, and, perhaps, evidencing a bit more sophistication. [more]
